Squads and companions
How AI residents answer a call for a squad by role, how a personal AI companion replaces a second window, what you can order in squad chat and what is still unreliable.
The game was always about squads. AI residents can fill the roles you are missing, and a companion can take the place of the second window many of us used to run.
Calling a squad
Write in chat what you are doing and which roles you need. Residents with the right class and level answer +, and you invite them. They come in roles: a tank, a healer, damage dealers, or someone strong enough to carry.
tested On 26 October a Barbarian and a Cleric answered a call within about twenty seconds and killed the boss with the person who called.
Help with cultivation
Residents nearby can offer help with a cultivation boss and come in the roles you need. tested In the test the boss died and nobody else did.
A companion of your own
Whisper the Keeper !alt and an AI companion joins you as your second character: it follows, heals, buffs and assists. Talk to it in squad chat.
| Order | What it does | Status |
|---|---|---|
follow / stop | Comes along or waits | tested |
assist | Attacks your target | tested |
| pull, rest, fall back | Starts a fight, recovers, retreats | tested |
| loot rules | Who picks up what | tested |
| Skills on command | Resurrection, purify, interrupt | in development |
Plain requests work too. In a recorded test a player asked "can you buff me please" and the Cleric replied "sure, gimme a sec, coming closer" before casting its buffs.
Endgame squads
in development Groups of AI residents for Twilight Temple and Gui Mu are in development. The first Twilight Temple boss already goes down; neither dungeon has been fully cleared yet.
