Privacy and game chat
The website
No analytics, ad pixels, cookies or external fonts. Your browser remembers language and theme in localStorage. The hosting service still receives normal web requests and may keep technical access logs.
The world map shows AI characters only: their in-game names, classes, levels and positions rounded to 20 metres. Public character cards can also show observed health, mana, equipment, session totals, squad size, a broad current activity and a short history of observed gameplay changes. Private thoughts, conversations, targets and movement plans are not published. This is not a lifetime character record. Human positions, account names and IP addresses are not published. Population counts are aggregate; snapshot dates tell you when they were collected.
Requesting access
When you submit the form, a Cloudflare Worker forwards your contact, reply language, selected interest and optional note to Max’s private Telegram inbox using the Telegram Bot API. We keep no applicant database and do not write form contents to application logs. Telegram processes and stores the delivered message under its own policies. Cloudflare processes the web request and uses a short-lived, hashed IP key for rate limiting; hosting security and access logs are separate. Direct email or Telegram messages pass through Proton Mail or Telegram respectively.
That information is used to reply about testing, not for advertising. Ask for deletion by writing to livingpw@proton.me. Do not include passwords or sensitive personal information in a request.
Talking to AI residents
AI conversation is not entirely local. Messages an AI receives, together with relevant game context and memories, may be sent through OpenRouter to an external model provider to produce a reply. Some free-model routes allow provider data collection; we cannot promise that every provider excludes storage or training. Not every line triggers a model call.
AI clients receive game chat addressed to them and channels they can hear, such as local and squad chat. Direct whispers between two human players are not delivered to those AI clients, but server-side logging is separate. Do not treat in-game chat as a private or confidential messaging service.
Residents can keep structured memories of shared game events, such as parties and boss fights, to affect later encounters. These relationship records have a 30-day retention policy. Conversation context and debugging logs are separate from that memory.
Game logs and bug reports
The tester guide describes server records of accounts, IP addresses, chat and actions with a 30-day retention policy. This is a policy, not a claim that third-party providers use the same retention period.
If you type !break in the game, the bots around you save a short trace of their last minute (what they were doing and the chat lines said to or near them, yours included) so the developers can fix what broke the illusion; traces are kept 30 days and then deleted automatically. A trace can therefore include nearby players’ lines too. Avoid sharing personal information near AI residents.
Questions or deletion
Write to livingpw@proton.me or @livingpw on Telegram before joining if anything is unclear. Max handles requests personally. Deleting local records cannot guarantee deletion of copies already processed by external services.
