Terms of the closed test
LivingPW · version 2026-10-30.3
1. What this is
LivingPW is an independent fan project run by Max as a hobby, not affiliated with or endorsed by the game's rights holders or publishers. The closed test is free and its participants are invited by Max; there is nothing to buy, and nothing in the test has a money value. You must be at least 18 years old to take part. Taking part gives no right to future access, to a place on a later realm or to keeping your progress. If you hold rights in the original game and have a concern, write to max@livingpw.com: it will be answered promptly.
2. Your account
One account per person. It is personal: do not share it, lend it or sell it. Keep your password to yourself; Max will never ask for it. You are responsible for what happens on your account; if you think someone else has used it, tell Max at once.
3. It is a test
The game, the client and the website are provided as they are, without any promise that they work, stay available or keep your data. Things will break, change and sometimes be rolled back. The server may restart or be down. Progress (characters, items, gold) can be wiped before launch, and lost progress is not compensated. The test can pause or end at any time.
4. Play fair
- One game window per person; your AI companion is the one exception.
- No cheats, third-party bots, macro tools or exploits. The add-on commands from the handbook are allowed. Found an exploit? Tell Max privately.
- No real-money trading. Nobody can sell you gold, gear or a place in the test.
- Be decent to people and to AI residents alike, in both languages.
- Do not attack or probe the servers, the website or other players: no scanning, flooding, intercepting, or attempts to reach accounts or data that are not yours.
Max decides on breaches and may warn, suspend or close an account, without notice where needed. Server records may be used to check a report.
5. What is always kept
To run the game and keep it safe, a few things are kept for every player:
- Your account: the login, the contact you gave Max, your language.
- Server records: logins with the IP address, chat and in-game actions, used for security, moderation and fixing bugs. They are kept for a limited time, at most 30 days.
- Reports you make:
!breaktraces (deleted after 30 days), reports to the Keeper, messages to Max. - Talking to AI residents: lines addressed to an AI resident, with some game context, may be processed by an external language model provider to write the reply.
- Aggregate statistics: numbers that describe the realm, not a person (how many people are online, how fast characters level), used to run and balance the game.
6. Anonymized gameplay records
On the free realms we record what characters do (movement, skills, targets, quests, trades, squads, the shop) and public chat, to improve the game, including teaching the AI residents to play, group and talk more like people.
- Names and accounts are replaced with random codes when the record is made, inside chat lines too. IP addresses are never part of it. The text of private whispers and mail is not kept.
- For 30 days a record can still be linked to your account, so a deletion request can be honoured. After that the key is destroyed and the record cannot be traced to you.
- The records are used by the project only. They are never sold and never published in a form that identifies a player.
- If you object to being included, write to Max: your gameplay is then left out from your next login. It changes nothing in the game.
7. The game client
Download the client only from your account page and check its SHA-256 as the handbook shows; files from anywhere else are not ours. The client is for your own use in this test: do not share, upload or redistribute it. Some security programs may warn about its tools. You install and run it at your own risk, and you may be asked to delete it when the test ends.
8. AI residents
Many characters are run by AI. They can be wrong, odd or rude, and they forget. What they say is not advice and not a statement by Max or the project. Do not tell them personal information, and do not try to make them produce content that breaks these rules.
9. What you send us
Ideas, feedback, bug reports and screenshots you send can be used to improve the project, without payment or any obligation. What you write in public game chat can be shown in the game and kept as section 6 describes.
10. Liability
The test is free and provided as it is. As far as the law allows, Max is not liable for lost characters, items, progress or data, for downtime, or for indirect damage. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life or health, or any other liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
11. Ending
You can stop at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. Max can end your access at any time, for a breach of these terms or because the test ends or changes; as the test is free and participants are invited, nobody has a right to keep taking part.
12. Other services
Telegram, Discord, Cloudflare, e-mail and language model providers run under their own terms. Max is not responsible for them.
13. Questions and deletion
Write to max@livingpw.com or @livingpw on Telegram. You can ask for your account and your still-linkable records to be deleted. Copies already processed by external services cannot be recalled by us. More detail: the privacy notice.
14. Changes and the rest
If these terms change, the account page asks you to accept the new version before you continue. These terms are governed by the law of the country where Max lives and runs the project; the mandatory consumer protections of your own country stay unaffected. If one part turns out to be invalid, the rest still applies.
